Genetic tests are even more vital, especially if the mother is of advanced age. These tests performed before pregnancy are called pre-implantation genetic diagnosis\/screening (PGD). The PGD method aims to implant the embryo with a normal chromosome number into the mother&#8217;s uterus from the embryos created by microinjection (ICSI) from the egg obtained from the expectant mother and the sperm collected from the expectant father.
