Assoc. Prof. Dr. V. Lale Bakır graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and started her residency training at Zeynep Kamil Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the same year. She completed her intensive training at Zeynep Kamil Hospital, one of the most important maternity hospitals in Turkey, in 2010 and received the title of “Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist”.

She successfully completed her compulsory service at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital, one of the busiest maternity hospitals in Turkey, and in 2013, she won the “Chief Assistant” exam and started to work at Haseki Training and Research Hospital, one of the largest training and research hospitals in Istanbul, dating back to 1550.

Between 2018-19, she completed “Assisted Reproductive Techniques Training” at Istanbul Medical Faculty, IVF Unit. In addition, she started her master’s degree in “Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering” at Istinye University Institute of Health Sciences in 2018 in order to work on stem cell and cellular therapies, which are quite new in the world but promising with their results. During her graduate studies, she deepened her knowledge and practical experience in different disciplines such as molecular biology, stem cell and cell biology, immunology, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, genetic engineering, biotechnology and bioinformatics.

In 2019, she participated in the “Stem Cell Laboratory” at the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA) led by Prof. Dr. Ayman Al-Hendy, who has important studies on the use of stem cells in infertility, early menopause and gynecological diseases in the world and has written highly respected scientific articles.

In 2019, Bakır, who received the title of Associate Professor, has extensive experience and expertise in infertility treatments, IVF treatment, gynecological diseases, gynecological surgeries, pregnancy and birth follow-up, stem cell therapies, as well as extensive surgical experience as a result of intensive working periods spent in Turkey’s best “maternity” hospitals in his professional career.

In 2020, she worked at Medicana International Hospital IVF Unit.

Since 2022, she has been working at Şişli Memorial Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics, IVF and Reproductive Health Center. She continues her scientific studies on the development of artificial ovarian tissue and cytoskeleton models that will be a beacon of hope for cancer patients in the future.

In 2024, he started to serve patients in his own office in Fulya Academy.
